Join me on a mystical journey as we create sacred space for veils of shame, fear, and emotional friction to lift and return to the Divine. Veils of light and veils of shadow can reside in our body, mind, heart, and spirit. When we truly see these veils and allow the tender, intimate Love of Divine Light to be present with us, we relax into healing.
Together, we will witness an inherited lineage of veils or barriers that have written their confining essence on our bodies, specifically the clitoris. We will step out of this lineage and relax into the Ocean of Divine Love. This teaching intertwines women’s reproductive health information, Sufi teachings and practices, and Taoist practices.
When we know ourselves, we know the Divine. Knowing ourselves includes knowing our beautiful body, mind, heart, and spirit and loving her. From a place of honoring the inner masculine and feminine, we will explore one aspect of Herstory of the female body, including anatomy and physiology, and invite Herstory to heal in the Ocean of Divine Love.
My passion is understanding the disparity between the negative messaging about the female body, the reality of her sacredness, and how to use Sufi and Taoist practices to relax into her sacred nature. Please join me on this journey.

About Julia Sumaya
Julia Sumaya is a Sufi teacher and health educator devoted to women's health and wellness, centered on sacred self-care. Julia began her studies of Sufism and Sufi healing in 1998 and earned a Master of Divinity degree from the University of Sufism. She has offered Sufi healing and teachings for over two decades, fostering spiritual growth and transformation for her clients and students. She is also a Healing Tao associate qigong instructor, inspired by Taoist practices that enhance female sexual health. Additionally, Julia earned a Master of Public Health degree in leadership from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has shared her expertise in the public school system, where she taught puberty and sexual health education, equipping her students with the fundamentals of health and reproductive health.
